Itinerary

Day 1: Singapore Changi Airport – Tashkent

Flight from Singapore Changi Airport to Tashkent.
Meals: On board.

Day 2: Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva (30km)
Arrive Tashkent Airport @ 0320hrs. Meet and greet by our Tour Representative. Transfer to the local airport for another domestic flight to Urgench. Transfer to Khiva. Check in hotel. After a short rest, half-day sightseeing tour of Khiva – the museum under the open sky. Visit the inner town, lchan Kala, to see Kalta Minor, Kunya Ark, Madrassah Rakhimkhon, Mausoleum of Pakhlavan Makhmud, the religious centre of Ichan-Qala. It was formed around the tomb of Khiva’s patron Pahlavan Mahmud (1247 – 1326) who was a poet, philosopher and wrestler. Next, Islam Khodja minaret and enjoy view of whole ancient Khiva. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue city tour of Khiva. Visit Friday Mosque and Tashauli Palace/Harem. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 3: Khiva – Bukhara (460km)
After breakfast, morning drive to Bukhara via famous Kizil Kum Desert (Red Sands). See desert flora and fauna – a unique saksaul trees, other desert vegetation and different kind of mammals. Stop at Amurdarya River Bank. Lunch boxes. Continue to Bukhara. Check in hotel. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 4: Bukhara
After breakfast, begin our city tour in Bukhara – a former capital and a centre of Islamic learning, with over 300 mosques and known as the holiest city in Asia with its 80 madrasah. Full day sightseeing tour of Bukhara – Lab-i-khauz ensemble, the pool and chaykhana of which is the modern centre of traditional The pool and chaikhana of which is the modern centre of traditional Uzbekistan. Visit Madrassah Nadir Devanbegi, Nadir Devanbegi Khanaga, Mogaki Attari Mosque, Poi Kalon Minaret and mosque including Madrassah Aziz and Ulugbek. Lunch at National House of Rakhmon. Here, you will see unique collection of ancient Susanne and taste one of the delicious national dishes, cooked specially for you by home owners. Next, visit Ark Fortress, Balakhauz Mosque, Mausoleum of Ismail Samanid and Chashma Ayub. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 5: Bukhara – Gijduvan - Samarkand
After breakfast, half-day excursion to Bahauddin Naqshabandi Mausolem – famous Sufi spiritual leader of the region in 14th century. Bahauddin Naqshband’s cult was highly venerated among folks. The rulers, too paid a considerable attention to this architectural ensemble. Drive to Samarkand. En-route visit Gijduvan – visit the house of famous potter Alisher. You will have the chance to see the process from clay to pottery-making. Gijduvan pottery is famous for unique coloration and techniques. Lunch with potter’s family of Alisher Nazrullayev and experience classes of bread-making and shashlyk cooking. Arrive Samarkand. Check in hotel and free at leisure. Dinner will be arranged outdoor in a local Uzbek house of Ilkhom, where guests would have an opportunity to savour delicious home-made food and enjoy the authentic and homely atmosphere of Uzbek Hospitality.

Day 6: Samarkand
After breakfast, full day exploring Samarkand. In the morning, visit Gur Emir – Mausoleum of Great Tamerlane. Visit Registan Square – heart of Samarkand for many centuries. Visit the three beautiful madrasah – Ulug-Bek Madrasah (built in the 15th century), Tillya-Kori Madrasah (built in the 17th century) and Sher Dor Madrasah (built in the 17th century). Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the grandest structure of Amir Temur, the chief Friday mosque, known as Bibi-Khanum, Silk Road Bazaar and Shahi Zinda necropolis. The historical core of this ensemble is the Mausoleum of Kusamibn Abbas (Muhammad’s cousin), who, according to Arab chronicles, arrived in Samarkand in 676 and he spread Islamic ideas. Dinner with beautiful folk performance at local house of Ilkhom, where you would have an opportunity to taste isit the unique structure of a Mosque during the Amir Temur’s times and pass by Silk Bazaar and Shahi Zinda Necropolis. The historical places of Kusam Ibn Abbas, an Arab Chromicle that arrives in Samarkand in 676. Dinner with beautiful folk performance at Local House of Ilkhom, where you have the opportunity to taste delicious home-made food and enjoy an unforgettable folk performance, presented by local artists demonstrating the unique quality of authentic Uzbek music and dance.

Day 7: Samarkand – Tashkent
Early morning, visit holy Sufi place, Mausoleum of Imam Al Bukhari, located in Payaryk district, 25km from Samarkand – one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in Islam. Continue our tour with a visit of excavations and museum of the ancient city Afrosiab and Ulugbek’s observatory located in the entrance to Samarkand. Among which, historical monuments of Samarkand observatory took place and constructed by Ulugbek (Grandson of the Great Amir Temur) in 1428

– 1429. Lunch at local restaurant. In the late afternoon, transfer to the railway station to embark on your train journey to Tashkent. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Dinner at Tarona Restaurant and folk show.

Day 8: Tashkent – Chimgan – Tashkent
After breakfast, head to Chimgan Hills (approximately 2.5hrs drive). You can stop near charming apple gardens for photo-taking. Chair lift to reach the top for approximately 30mins. Lunch at local restaurant. Enjoy the mountain scenery and grab the opportunity to “selfie” and “wefie”. Admire the fascinating view pf Charvak Reservoir (Optional Tour horse-riding or ATV ride). Drive back to Tashkent in the afternoon. Dinner at hotel restaurant.

Day 9: Tashkent - Singapore
Excursion to the old part of the city to visit the Khast Iman Square – the place where relics of the Muslims World are collected and it is the religion centre of Tashkent and a place of worship for Muslim pilgrims. Khast Imam is located in the old Tashkent city, within blocks of small mud houses. Brak-Khan (XVI century), Tilla-Sheikh Mosque (XIX century), Mausoleum of St. Kaffal Shashi (XV century) and Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari, where future preachers are taught and located here, on Hast-Imam Square. A rich library of oriental manuscripts is also located here. The world famous Koran of Caliph Osman has been preserved here. Ottoman Koran is known as the primary source of Islam holy book that was written in the middle of VII century period. Lunch at local restaurant. Next, visit Kukeldash Madrasah and Chorsu Bazaar, the oldest market in Tashkent and used to be one of the busiest bazaars in Central Asia hundred years ago due to its location on the silk route. Location has not changed all these years but the old buildings have been replaced by modern buildings. Transfer to Tashkent Airport for your flight back home. Departs Tashkent Airport @ 2120hrs with sweet memories of Uzbekistan.

Arrives Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1 the next day @ 0810hrs. Back To
